Stirling Thorne Associates offer research and consultancy services for international development in agriculture, livestock and natural resources.
We specialise in the analysis and solution of problems that prevent the poor from enjoying an adequate and sustainable livelihood. This encompasses the social, technological, institutional and policy environment to which they are subject. In particular, we try to ensure that all our activities account for the complex relationships amongst governments, people, crops, livestock and the environment that determine the constraints and opportunities open to communities in developing countries.
In addition, we have unique experience of using information and communictions technologies (ICTs) to deliver knowledge-based decision support for poverty alleviation in the developing World.
